Tributes for Perseverance, Pranks and Pride
"Your marvellous book has remained on my writing table to remind me to send hearty congrats which are so well deserved and I want to do so now. It blows my mind (and Bev Tauber's too) that you could pull off such an achievement pretty well on your own when we think back to the long time and team effort that went into our publication. But then, you do have a track record that is very impressive !
In the meantime, I am so grateful for your tribute that our CFUW/Sherbrooke and District book "Days to Remember" helped to inspire yours for preserving such rich women's/educational/social history which continues to be a passion of mine. I know I am preaching to the converted but BRAVO THANK YOU for your significant contribution Joy."

"I just wanted to tell you on this rainy morning, that I passed a good hour (AGAIN) reading your book and especially looking at the photographs. I love the look on the faces of the children and how the photos chronicle the changing clothing styles and hairstyles throughout the years. Such a beautiful time in our history, even with the 'deprivation' that school boards like to cry about today. The values our teachers gave us, along with the required academics, imbued a sense of being part of the school family and a part of the community as a whole. I think your students have in you the same caring, kindness and hopefully the discipline required to give them the tools for their future lives.
Congratulations on your book being such a success.
Take care of yourself. Barbara Carriere says you are out selling books everywhere. That's great."
