Can you help?
​Hello; just discovered your website while searching for info on my great Grandmother Margaret Costello. I recently found her obituary in the Ottawa Journal, which states that before her marriage she was "a school teacher at the Montreal School and also at Leitrim". She turned 18 while still at home in Freelton Ontario, in 1891, and married Albert Blais in 1905. I assume her teaching career would have been during those 14 years. Have you found any information on either the schools she taught at or Maggie herself? I would so appreciate any help you could give!

​I've recently purchased the schoolhouse in Marlbank. I'm now renovating it to reveal one of the original classrooms.
S.S. 18, is a 2 room schoolhouse in Marlbank it was built in 1905.
Do you know of a good resource for renovation information for schoolhouses?

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my book is in the display case just outside the Beaverbrook Library (Campeau Drive) in Kanata.  It is part of a display about 'back to school'.  Have a look!

I am looking for a picture of SS 22 Chingacousy schoolhouse. It was on the corner of Bovaird and Number 10, in now what is Brampton. My Mother and all her 9 siblings went there. They where taught by Mossie Bovaird. I have tried the Bovaird house and Peel Archives and no one has a picture of it. My mothers family are all deceased so I have no way of getting this picture.
