What an amazing “Pioneer School Days Tour” CFUW/Kanata held today!!! Fortunately, the weather brightened up and spirits were lifted. Each location (S.S. No. 1 & 2 Huntley, S.S. No. 1 & 2 March and R.C.S.S. No. 3 March) was unique and presented so many aspects of Pioneer life. Having an old-fashioned bake table, pioneer crafts, memorabilia from yesteryears, books, live chicks, storytellers, union jacks, pictures of George V, old wooden desks, music for all ages, popcorn, lemonade, Maypole and Old English dancing, artisans, games, a buggy, cutter, sleigh and artifacts made Canadian history come alive for children and adults alike. A big thank you goes out to all the CFUW/Kanata members who donated their time, talents and energy in support of the CFUW/Kanata Scholarship Trust.
